I have had some struggles with finding the right internships, from those who have gone through the process, what worked for you?

I would like to be a financial advisor for Edward Jones when I graduate, and want to equip myself with advanced knowledge to help me. Also, if there are any other sorts of classes I should focus on that could help with my future career aspirations, please include that in your answer.
