I’ve always liked to draw, and watch cartoons since I was in Preschool. It feels like Cartooning is the perfect career for me. In fact, there was someone who inspired me to become a Cartoonist in the first place, Craig McCracken!! He is a cartoonist, and not only was I inspired by him, but other cartoonists who make animated shows for Disney Channel, and Cartoon Network. As I watched one of McCracken's animated TV shows, I fell in love with his animation and design, and it looked really colorful that I couldn’t help but beg to accomplish this goal in order to pursue that career, and that’s how it inspired me. So, if I get this career, I’d be extremely satisfied, and live my best, dream fulfilled life. #design #career #cartoon #cartoonist #animation

Interned at Google as a Product Manager and wonder switching my career role
Interned at Google and a couple of startups and realized that product management framework isn't something tangible where it's not an essential skillset needed in a startup. I'd like to be a person who's absolutely needed with tangible skill sets. Talked with a few product managers who've gone to director levels, who shared their concerns about the job potential themselves. I value roles that create a direct impact on the business such as software engineers, UX designers, and sales. Unfortunately, I don't want to pursue any of those roles. How do I solve my dilemma where I want to have tangible skill sets with direct impact but don't want to take on those three roles? It's a tough problem to solve, and please share your thoughts... #career, #design, #product

Is UX design a oversatuarated industry to choose?
Hi! I am a new master graduate in chemical engineering, living in Canada. I'm also a international student. However, I almost have no interest in this field and due to covid-19, most of the oil companies are laying off people rather hiring. This makes me to change my career. I'm interested in design all the time and I want to be a UX designer. However, when I was doing my research, I saw one comments in a youtube video, which says, "UX Design is a highly sought-after career that literally anyone without a degree can get into. This creates a highly saturated market that makes it literally impossible to get into because there is always someone with "a little bit more experience." UX design is necessary, but it is also a trendy career prospect that brings in any type of applicant. It's a slippery slope. UX boot camps are creating an additionally large influx of UX want-to-bes and are only exacerbating this issue. UX boot camps are there to milk the UX education cash cow and are not concerned with graduates painfully struggling to find first-time jobs in a market that is already oversaturated." Now I'm worried. I don't want to waste one year to learn and then struggled in the same state as I'm today---NO JOB IN MARKET. Can you get me some your advice? Or where should I get the most realsitic facts about the market? As a beginner, I don't know what kind of opinion should I believe since I know nothing about it. Thank you so much for your answer. Your opinons are important to me. #UXdesign #design #technology #career
