How much information should I put under each LinkedIn section?

I am currently filling out the description section under each of my awards/honors on LinkedIn. How vague should the information be and what is the max number of lines/sentences I should use to describe each award? Should I quote where I got my information from (if I'm noting specifics)? P.S. I realize this question can apply to all of the sections on LinkedIn! #resume #linkedin

Does it look better to do an internship or to get a job on a resume?

I'm currently a senior in high school and will be attending college in the fall. I hope to become a doctor, and thus must be thinking ahead to medical school. I'm debating between getting a job and getting an internship this summer (and was also thinking about my time throughout college). I was wondering if it looks better on a resume to get a job, as this shows responsibility and will help me earn money to pay my tuition, or to get an internship, as this helps me gain experience and work with professionals. #college #doctor #jobs #internships #resume #medical-school #undergraduate #college-jobs

Is it a good idea to put some of the modules/subjects taken at college in the resume?

I am a fresh graduate in the midst of finding a suitable job. While searching various positions, I have found that some companies require knowledge in a particular area. For instance if I am applying for an Inspection Engineer position which requires knowledge in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods, can I describe about my materials science modules taken and its projects I did in my CV/resume? I only have a degree in mechanical engineering but I have learnt about NDT methods in my materials science modules. I don't have any hands-on experience in NDT so I am unsure whether stating my modules would be effective. #engineering #resume #careers #materials-science

What is the difference in having volunteer work or paid job experience - besides the factor of money - in applying for a non-temporary job/career-related job?

I am debating whether to volunteer frequently, which would be easier to do over the summer before I go off to school, or to apply for jobs in my area, which I will have to quit before I leave. #career #resume #volunteering #college-jobs #employment #volunteer #job-applications

Is it better to have your resume demonstrate a variety of skills or great skill in the specific career you are pursuing?

I'm not entirely sure what career I want to end up in, but I have interests in working in theater(preferably backstage). So I was wondering if it helps to gear your resume towards the specific career you are working towards at that moment, or demonstrate a variety of skills you have accumulated over many different experiences. #career-paths #resume
