Do civil engineers enjoy their job?

Is it also worth majoring in civil engineering if you want to major in engineering as it pays a lot less than the other choices? I want to do architecture based building with homes and residential properties, but some people have said civil engineering is a better pathway to get to this although I have also heard that civil engineering can tend to be very boring and people end up building a lot of boring infrastructures like bridges, roads, and hangers. What do you think?

Requirements for architecture or civil engineering?

I’m currently a sophomore in high school, and I’m trying to get a head start in terms of my career in civil or a architecture. I’ve been doing sculpting for 5 years now, but I’ve been told that drawing is also a very important skill. Will sculpting do anything for me in this field? Should I focus more on drawing and developing a portfolio?

What should I become a planner, interior designer, or architect?

I'm in 8th grade and I have a passion for art, design, and creating spaces. Urban planning is the most interesting to me, but I'm not sure about the political side of it. Interior design also is fascinating, but I would if I'm not creative enough. Lastly, I love architecture but I am not the best at math and I wonder what daily work is like. Any other career ideas? I know I want to go into those kind of field areas. Perheaps a civil engineer? This is stressful..

I have always wanted to go into architecture, but my school has never had any classes or groups that have ever talked about what this line of work entails, so I just had a couple questions. How Does Your Design Process Work? What Services Do You Offer? What are the Philosophies that you stick to?

Is it ideal to have a background in architecture and focus on being a potential interior designer?

I am a graduating senior with a high interest in design. I love the arts specifically drawing, building and even fashion design. I do not have much experience with either careers but i do plan to explore it in College. I am not sure if the two careers are completely required or which road who be best to take. I was told that both careers are hard to get in to and it is even more difficult when there aren't many opportunities within the type of city I live in. I wanted insight and just opinions on which is best to begin with. #career-path #design #architecture #architect #interior #interior-decorating

How hard is it to find a job in architecture after you finish studying architecture in college?

I just started high school and I'm wondering if I study architecture in college, how hard is it going to be to get a job with just a bachelors degree. I like architecture because I like the idea of people living in something that you have made. I've wanted to be an architect since jr high school. For example, how many months will it take me to find a job? If it's too hard, maybe I would choose a minor that might give me a different career I could get a job in. #architecture #architect

What are the different types of jobs in architecture? I think I want to become an architect but I don't know enough to make the decision.

I want to get a degree in architecture. Im not sure if architecture is the best route. I'm not sure exactly what an architect does. I like working with my hands. I like designing. I like problem solving. I was a carpenter for a year, and a mechanic before that. Im lost in the details. Drafting, designing and building all sound very appealing to me. I'm just not sure what routes and possibilities are on the path.
