What is the average GPA needed to get accepted into Medical school?

I want to go to Medical school in two years when I finish my undergrad. So, I want to be sure if the grades I am getting right now can get me into med school. If not, I have to strive more and take less courses to boost my CGPA. #doctor #medicine #biochemistry #gpa #canada-university

Do potential jobs consider your GPA?

I know for internships there is usually a GPA cut-off. I am wondering if for real jobs, after you've had some experience, do they weigh your GPA as heavily when considering you for a position? #college #internships #job #gpa

How important is GPA in college?

I am a sophomore in college, and the classes I have been taking have been pretty tough. I'm always studying to try to stay ahead of the curve, and the professors usually give harder tests that warrant lower averages. In the field that I am interested in (Computer Science), I have doing well, but cumulatively, some of grades I have gotten have been Bs and Cs (in classes such as Chemistry and Physics), and as a result, it has lowered my GPA significantly. Should I try harder to get a higher GPA, or should I just continue to work hard, but focus more on CS related projects? #college #engineering #science #computer #gpa

Aiming 4.0 GPA

Currently, I am studying a Computer Engineering at well known university in Turkey. My primary goal is to get Master degree on Computer Science in one of the best schools in the world (e.g MIT,CMU,Stanford).I know it's hard to get into these schools, since a plenty of students compete around the world. As a first year student,I think I should get a very good GPA for this purpose. However, even though I really worked hard for my first midterms,I will probably get a GPA somewhere around 3.0-3.2.It may seems very good, but for my purpose its not enough. The bad part is,I could really get +3.5 If I did not make mistakes due to my carelessness.Fot this reason, achieving a 4.0 GPA seems almost incredible to me.I have not got a problem about consistent work, but as I said I have an attention problem during any exam. How can I overcome this and improve my GPA? #gpa #master #cs #grade #ivy #league #average #point

Will graduating with a very well GPA compared to graduating with an average GPA matter for getting a job?

Every semester I do and try my hardest to be the best that I can be. My GPA has never been lower than a 3.2, and I know that this really isn't even that good of a GPA but it is better than most, so I hear. What I would like to know is that will graduating with a high GPA necessarily make my career paths easier to achieve? Is that one thing that is looked at? A GPA to me is just a number, a number in which displays how well you actually did. Due to great success will you land a career quicker than others or is the game still just as competitive as any other graduate? #career #career-path #career-paths #gpa #grades

How can I get better grades?

The question was worded very differently from what I am trying to ask.To clarify, even though I had tried very hard to get a good overall GPA for my second semester in college, I still seemed to get lower than a 3.0 GPA. So, I believe that even when I tried my best I still didn't get the grades I was hoping to get. Is there any way I can I guess you can say.. increase my intake on knowledge and understand the material that is needed to learn? #college #school #gpa #grades

While in college, is it possible to balance a social life, extra-curricular activities (such as student government), a part-time job AND maintain a 4.0 GPA? Or is a 4.0 even a realistic goal?

In high school, I am pretty involved my various activities (NHS, sports, job, youth group, music, etc.), but still manage to keep a 4.0 GPA. A few of my friends who are currently in college, who had a 4.0 in high school, talk about how difficult to keep even a 3.8, much less 4.0. #college #college-jobs #social-media #extracurriculars #gpa

The school I am going to doesn't accept student loans? I have been doing scholarships a lot but how else can I fund my education? Are their other ways?

There is no federal funding at the college I am attending. They offer a 12,000 loan each year but that will obviously not cover the whole tuition and room and board. I have a 3.96 unweighted GPA but because it is a very competitive college that really doesn't get me many scholarships. I have been searching for scholarships and doing one almost everyday, but the competition level is very high and they are hard to get. I can't apply for any local scholarships because I am cyber schooled after leaving my local high school. I really want to be able to attend because it is good and well accredited college, but I don't know how to do that without being able to use student loans. If anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks #education #scholarships #gpa #loans #financing

Is it reasonable to maintain a 3.4 GPA through all of freshman year of college?

I was pre-accepted to the nursing program at my school as long as I maintain a 3.4 GPA my freshman year. This was a huge honor but I'm hoping it wasn't a trick, and that with hard work this is achievable. #college #nursing #gpa
