I don't know what I want to major in College
Well I first started college and had many ups and downs. I met a teacher who was a Child Development teacher and she was the best professor I ever had. I decided to major in Child Development. After that I worked with children from babies to High Schoolers. I figured out I don't have the patience for them and just dislike children. So I took a break from school and decided to go to a Junior College and take my General Education Courses and transfer. So I decided to take up Advertising. One day the professor ripped up my paper and said I didn't do the Print Ad the way she wanted. Remind you first ever Advertising course I ever took. So I decided to go into Graphic Design. I was in for a rude awakening it was required to take a beginning drawing class. I couldn't draw even if I tried and I'm not that great at Photoshop or the computer much. So now I'm lost about what I should major in college. I love to communicate with others. I hate math, chemistry, biology, and dealing with customer service. I love to have a career where I can enjoy it and not be bored and excites me. Please help me I'm lost. #college #graphics #professionals #oral-communication

Should I pursue photography and other careers within the art industry or steer myself towards law, politics and sociology?
I am a student in the UK and I am an aspiring photographer, I also have interests in art and would like to venture into other careers of the art industry, such as illustration, graphic - design. However, I am unable to truly talk to photographers who are willing to take interns or have someone shadow them. I have contacted several and in the hope of receiving a response, yet I have not gained anything and have tried numerous times. I also am currently in year 12 in UK education system doing my as exams, and US equivalent is grade 11; I'm intrigued by sociology and politics, and considering to venture into that side as well but I am unsure which one I should pursue as I have equal amounts of interest for both. I am unsure on how I should approach Lawyers and ask for work experience or a few paid internship, the same goes for photography. #photography #graphics #illustrator #barrister #undecided

How do I start in a career?
Hello, I am a recent graduate and I have various skills in design, media, research, and web. Despite this, I am a beginner within all of these fields and I can't tell which career I should enter into or how. A lot of these jobs require a lot of experience. While I am very good and a hardworker, I do not have tons of work experience in one field. Overall, I have only a year of actual working experience. I can't take an unpaid job because of my loans either. The focus of my degree was originally in graphics and communication but I have found that those jobs are not too common in my area and marketing is more common. Any suggestions? I'm afraid if I take the wrong job, I won't get experience to build in a career and won't have stability or benefits in the long term if I don't follow a career path. #career #career-counseling #marketing #recruiting #career-development #marketing-and-advertising #graphics #web-design
