What tips are there to help get a higher score to get into colleges?

I haven't really decided what I want to be or even what field I want to go into. Once I find what's right for me, will I still have a chance even if my academics aren't so great?

Like for example do you need to give 60% to school and 40% on yourself, family, friends

I've always had a hard time with math and I know that there's math in pretty much every successful major but is there one that doesn't require too much moth knowledge?

How should one get rid off student debt?

I’ve tried pretty much every scholarship search site (going merry, Fastweb, scholarshippoints, scholarship owl, bold.org, etc) with no luck and I’ve probably applied to at least a couple dozen scholarships with no luck. I applied to and received help from FAFSA but it isn’t enough.
