how to make my subject strong ?

I plan to pursue Computer Science as my major, and I would like to know what additional activities I should focus on beyond my college coursework to strengthen my profile and improve my chances of getting into a good university. I am especially interested in learning about online courses, summer camps, online programming platforms or other programs that I can apply for to build my skills and gain more experience in this field

What is the best way to start a career in IT/Computer Science/Coding?

I'm afraid AI will take over most of those type jobs but also have heard the ones on top will be the ones using AI. I want to start a new career path but just worried what AI will do to it. Any advice will be helpful and the best way to start this career. I am new to the field and need to learn so any advice on schooling, learning, etc... would be helpful. I am currently working on my own website and app projects and watching tutorial videos and LinkedIn learning videos. Realistically what do I need to proceed and succeed.

How do I get my first IT freelance job?

Hi everyone, I’m an international student currently studying a Master’s in IT, switching my career from retail to tech. My goal is to eventually work as an IT freelancer, or maybe a part-time freelancer. Over the past year, I’ve spent a lot of time learning and building real projects. I’ve launched several websites using React.js and Vue.js, and used some AWS cloud services for deployment, including my own developer portfolio site. One of the websites I built was for a friend’s event company, just because I wanted to help and gain experience. Last week, I also launched my first iOS app. Even though I built it with ChatGPT’s help, it gave me my first real experience in submitting an app to the App Store and understanding the process. Besides frontend and backend work, I’m also self-studying CCNA to strengthen my networking fundamentals. I sometimes share my progress on social media, and once a former colleague asked if I could build a website for her new boutique. But after that, there haven’t been any updates yet. So up to now, I still haven’t officially received my first freelance job request. I’d really love some advice from people who have freelanced or are freelancing in IT. How did you get your very first freelance job? And is there anything more I can do to start getting real opportunities? Thanks in advance!

Is my app idea worth it/needed?

I am considering building an "all-in-one life app" that has multiple different features and is basically a collection of different apps combined into one, and it's very collaborative, interactive, and connects with different apps. Kind of like Notion. I was wondering if this kind of app is really needed or original. Be honest.

How can I combine my intetest? To standout in the college application

I want to go into the medical field and computer science but I want to combine those interest together, my extracurricular are: • STEMEd for girl volunteer •American Red Cross blood ambassador. •American Red Cross youth action campaign advocate •ambassador for UNCG intersection camp: a camp for girls in stem. I want to combine those interest for programming and health by creating an App for students to treat themselves in case of minor injuries or illnesses when there is no teacher similar to how AED defibrillators guide people in case of sudden cardiac arrest. for example if you got bitten by a mosquito it’ll guide you on how to treat a mosquito bite or you were doing an activity outside of class and you got sunburn, it’ll guide you on how to treat a sunburn. Is this a good idea, and if so, how can I get the resources or what do you recommend because I don't have the resources or any idea on how to start an app?
