When applying for college what challenges are there and what's hard about the job?

I've been thinking about biomedical engineering, but it seems to be a broad topic. What exactly is it? Are there any good Jobs that go with biomedical engineering?

I want to go into a chemistry field but don't want to be stuck in a lab all day. I have looked into chemical engineering but I want to know what other fields I may like.

Is studying American law abroad a viable option for learning or would it be recommended to learn in America?
