What are some specific careers for someone who wants to help children and is also interested in psychological and/or physical therapy ?
I’m in 11th grade right now but are there any classes I should take prior to college to have a better understanding of these things in college? I’m in a VHS class right now that talks about Psychology of Crime which I’m also very interested in if I just want to focus on psychology more but I’m not sure what the better path is. Hi there! I'm a junior in high school and looking to go into a career in music therapy. Realistically, with my situation, I'm going to go to an in-state college, but I most definitely will not be attending the two that offer music therapy degrees.
I want to be a music therapist AND an art therapist AND teach piano and voice in private lessons. How should I go about this for college? At first I was thinking double major in piano and voice for bachelor's and then double major in art and music therapy for master's, however, I realized that music performance is probably not a prerequisite option for art therapy. Perhaps a minor in psychology along with bachelor's plans? Please help.?

What are some pros and cons of different types of therapist careers?
I'm still not entirely sure what kind of therapist I want to be. Although, two that have caught my eye are cognitive-behavioral therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy, but there are so many more to choose from! If I'm being honest, I'm scared to pursue an education as one or the other because I'm afraid I won't be happy with my choice.
Marriage Family Therapy (MFT) programs in California?
Hello! I am an undergraduate Psychology student in my last year of undergrad. I will be applying to in-state graduate schools this fall, but I worry about how competitive MFT programs are. As a first generation student, I’m worried that my experiences are not good enough. The only relevant experience I have is interning abroad with a social worker conducting therapy in a vulnerable population, being a peer resource mentor for psychology students on campus, and peer mentor for students with diverse cultural backgrounds (with emphasis on mental health and well-being). I have a 3.7 GPA and want to apply to CSU MFT programs. I don’t have a lot of time to devote to other extra curricular at the moment as I am currently holding two jobs as a peer mentor. What was your experience like applying to MFT programs? What were your stats? Did you take a gap year (if so, what was it like)? What programs would you recommend? How was your MFT program?
