How do UP CFA and DLSU-CSB compare in terms of creative facilities and global networking for an aspiring arts leader?
Hello! I am a Grade 11 student from the Philippines currently deciding on my undergraduate path. I have a strong background in the arts and a passion for leadership roles. While I originally considered Architecture for its perceived stability, I am now focusing on programs that better align with my creative strengths and career goals. I am specifically looking at: UP Diliman: BFA Visual Communication DLSU-College of Saint Benilde: Multimedia Arts or Creative Industries Management I come from a family of UP alumni, so the legacy of the university is important to me. However, I am very interested in the Creative Industries Management program at CSB because it seems to bridge the gap between artistic practice and leadership. My main questions are: How do the facilities and technological assets (studios, software, labs) compare between UP and Benilde for creative students? Which university offers a more robust networking pipeline for students planning to take a Master of Arts or work in the creative industry overseas? I want to ensure my choice provides the right balance of technical training and global opportunities. Thank you so much for your time and insights!
I am interested in computer science, and the best computer science programs are at large research institutions; YET the most appealing campuses for me have had smaller student bodies. Where can I find a combination of these attributes, giving me the best of both worlds? #Spring26
For example, I love Davidson College, but Virginia Tech or Georgia Tech have much better computer majors and opportunities. Is there a small school out there that has great computer science??
How much is it worth to get a nice dorm ?
For reference, it's $2600 more per year to get a double in a nicer dorm (AC, better common areas, more aesthetic, recently remodeled). The other option seems fine but the heating/AC is messed up.
What are the recommended colleges for game design?
I have a good list of places I want to go and have already applied to several colleges, but I wanted to get a second opinion and reinforce what I already knew. Are USC, NYU, UCF, and NC State good options? Why or why not?
How should I determine which area of engineering I want to excel in, does it matter Should I already know where I want to work after college and how can I find jobs/interships right now??
I'm going to college next year and I'm not exactly sure what I want to do in the future, I know I want to be some type of engineer and possibly minor in physics. I'm debating whether or not I need to go to a well known expensive school or settle for a less known but affordable one.

If you had to redo one thing in your path to getting a degree, what would you do differently?
I'm an engineering student looking to make the most of my time in college. I want to make sure I am making the right decisions and would love to hear feedback from those that have already gotten their education. Nothing is a better teacher than failure or regret, so what did you do in college that you with you hadn't, or what do you wish you had done that you didn't?
Guys, If I want to get a good job for engineering right after College do I need to go to a big known school?
Currently in 12th and I'm looking through schools but the big programs are incredibly competitive and I don't know if I'm cut out compared to others applying. I'd like to apply to state schools but I've heard bigger schools give you a better chance of getting a job right after.
How do you know which college is the right choice?
Both colleges I'm looking at have very similar finance programs and great internship opportunities. There is no real difference between the two.

Do I switch my major?????
I am currently a Mechanical engineering student, but I am dreading the rest of my classes. I love the design and problem solving, but hate the math/physics/theory side of things. Do I just push through the rest of my classes, or is mechanical engineering not for me?
