How Do I Make Myself Stand Out in a Competitive Field?
How do I make myself stand out as an aspiring aerospace engineer and astronaut? The field is one of the most competitive and I really want to make my mark in my university and career as someone who took intiative and showed interest in their field. I know clubs, extracurriculars and programs are a good start, but I really want to do and be more.
What entry level jobs are realistic for new college graduates in the field of astronomical engineering?
I am a senior in high school going into the field astronomical engineering at IIT in Illinois. I was wondering if there is any chance other people can help me find entry level jobs to try to look out for, for after I graduate.
How does it feel in the daily life of an aerospace engineer ?
Hi, my name is Anthony. I am in 8th grade, soon heading to high school, and I would like to know what path I should take throughout high school to become an aerospace engineer. I have always had a deep interest in space travel and flight shows, and I want to improve and design spacecraft and jets so that we can explore distant planets. I’ve always loved science and working visually to imagine new designs. What is a typical day like for an aerospace engineer, and what was the most important thing you did in high school to prepare for your career? I am asking because I have always loved building space and planes out of legos and it would be great to design my own plane/spaceship.
I am a second year undergrad student pursuing mechanical engineering and I don't know how to navigate my future??
I want to break into space company like for example SpaceX or NASA or ISRO. What are the skills I need to develop?
How should i pursue for astrobiology abroad as an indian student having pcb background currently studying in class 11th?
I am currently in class 11th looking forward to pursure astrobiology abroad as a researcher.I want to know step by step process.
As a college freshman, what can I do to prepare for any future internships related to rocketry and space?
I want to get an internship in the space industry so I can gain experience. But I feel as though I'm at a disadvantage because I'm just started college. Is there anything I can do now so that I have a better chance to get an offer in the future?
What are some STEM based Internships and/or abroad programs I can participant in as a senior in high school?
I'm currently a senior in high school, and have intentions to major in mechanical engineering (BS). What are some internship or study abroad programs that I can take summer of 2026 before I start college that would help boost my skills, experience hands-on research and/or projects, and learn in a college setting to prep for my freshmen year? It doesn't have to be about engineering, I'm open to any STEM based programs. #Fall2025
How can I find a path that will allow me to get degrees in both astronomy/astrophysics and mechanical/aerospace engineering?
Would I be able to get both degrees at the same time? What careers would I be able to pursue with those degrees? I'm thinking about becoming a Formula 1 engineer or working for NASA.
Is it more practical for me to become an aerospace engineer or a mechanical engineer ?
I've dreamed of making rovers and even designs for them to launch into space and discover new things in different planets. I recenetly went to a college fair where engineer professionals and college proffersors were presents and I had asked about a specific aerospace program to one for the college representatives. The representative told me that since aerospace engineering is such a niche career it isn't as practical to become one. He told me that a mechanical engineer is more likely to enter into space organizations (such as NASA and SpaceX) than a aerospace engineer. It left me with lingering thoughts of wether I should still focus of aerospace or view mechanical engineering as an alternative.
Is the job aerospace engineering very limited in job opportunities?
I am a middle schooler in 8th grade and I was wondering if the career aerospace engineering is actually very limited in job opportunities. I’m very interested in engineering and physics and I was wondering what are some good classes to get into to study in university to prepare for this career. Are there any other jobs so I could get some experience if I do end up getting an opportunity in the future.
Hi, I’m a current senior looking for a remote summer internship in artificial intelligence or data science(subjects I am very passionate about). I have prior experience in these fields and would be happy to share my resume if needed. Are there any experts who could share ideas or advice on how to make this happen?

How can I calculate the luminosity of the wolf-rayet star Regor (Gama velorum) if i'm using the inverse square law but need the luminosity of this star in watts. How can I convert this value of its luminosity, (170,000 L☉) to watts I've been trying to figure out how to calculate this in order to convert it into my equation of b= L / (4pi d^2) if b= apparent brightness L= luminosity of star (in watts) d= distance to the star (in meters) Please let me know, thank you!?
Please guide me of how to convert this correctly and properly address the answer and how to get it.

Do you do computer programing as an aerospace engineer?
Do you do computer programing as an aerospace engineer?
How will I know that I’m enough to work along side professionals in the industry.
I’ve always feared that I will not have the knowledge or the innovation that others do which allow them to be such good workers at a company like NASA. Although it is wrong to be driven by such goals it has always pushed me to be my greatest self. My tenacity and grit has allowed me to keep up with the top of my class and I feel I’ll be able to continue until I reach my goals.

We have come a long way, we still have further to go. I see a future where we don't risk human lives on space station repair / constuction. When will this be in the forseeable future? #human-resources #career #robots #nasa
What does it take to become a NASA research scientist?
#research #science #NASA I like to learn new things every day to keep me engaged and save me from boredom. I love the type of work NASA is doing and am interested in researching because I have a perception of getting the opportunity to learn something new often. I also enjoy presenting/writing and I think that would also be part of a researcher's job. Is that true or are my presumptions incorrect. What qualities must a research scientist have and what education must such a person complete?
I have an offer that expires before I get a final decision from other summer programs. What are my options and what should I do?
Good news: I've received an offer for a physics REU at the University of Arkansas! Bad news: I need to respond by Feb 26th, even though final decisions from other REUs, national labs, and NASA come in early March. What are my options? I've already asked if my application review could be expedited, and most programs told me it wasn't possible. I wish these deadlines were more coordinated! #internships #applications #decisions #physics #national-labs #engineering #optics #laser-physics #nasa #REU #research
