Kamaria’s Career Goals

I aspire to pursue a career in librarianship, specializing in youth services and library management. I have also recently been considering starting a nonprofit that would offer low-cost or free services to lower-income families. These services would include tutoring, before and after school care, week-long meals/non-perishable food, and information sessions on various topics for kids and adults (career info sessions, financial planning, computer classes, etc.)

About

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in History with a minor in Asian Studies, during which I developed a deep appreciation for storytelling, cultural understanding, and the power of knowledge to connect people across time and space. My passion for learning and community engagement has inspired me to pursue a career as a librarian, with a specialization in youth services.

I’m driven by the belief that libraries are more than repositories of books; they’re vital spaces for curiosity, creativity, and inclusion. I aspire to help young readers discover stories that reflect their experiences, broaden their perspectives, and spark lifelong learning.

Alongside my work in librarianship, I’m also a writer who aims to bridge media and education, creating content that informs, inspires, and invites exploration. Whether through historical narratives, educational resources, or youth programs, I hope to blend storytelling and scholarship to make information accessible, engaging, and empowering for all.
