Doug Johnson

My career includes 31 years working at two different IT consulting firms and 14 years working in an IT department in a Bank. I started out as a programmer with an occasional assignment to a QA testing team. I’ve performed business analysis and written business requirements documents. I’ve also written technical specifications. As a consultant, I worked on and managed teams to develop IT applications for a variety of organizations and industries including manufacturing, telecommunications, consumer products, pharmaceutical, federal and state government agencies. I’ve managed small, short-term projects and large application development projects with as many as 35 team members. I’ve served as scrum master on agile development teams. I managed a PMO and project managers for several years. While regional manager at one IT consulting firm for several years, I was responsible for hiring consultants for developer, tester, and analysis roles. I screened thousands of resumes, conducted hundreds of interviews, and hired over 200 people.
