What degree do I need to pursue Radiology?

Hi! I'm currently a freshman in high school, and I care a lot about my future and especially my academics. I plan on doing early college for an associates and my dream school is UCLA. After I graduate from UCLA I hope to go back to my home state to attend UNC School of Medicine. My question is, what degree specifically do I need to have to go into the radiology field for medical school? Some schools I've looked at do not offer radiology as a major, but their med schools do. If I were to major in nursing or some med field related major instead, would I still be able to go into medical school for radiology specifically? #medicine #doctor #college #college-major #radiology #premed

Best colleges in NC for radiology major / what degree in university I'd need

Hello! I am an aspiring medical practitioner, so far I have minimized my options to pharmaceuticals and radiology with a lean towards the latter. My dream school is UCLA, but I'm looking into alternative options in case this plan does not follow through. I would love to attend UCLA but with the circumstances I might ultimately end up staying in North Carolina due to the convenience of it not only being my home state, but also due to the benefits of reduced tuition. I'm currently a freshman in high school, and I plan on signing up for RCC early college classes in the spring of next year, meaning I will have my associates degree when I graduate as a senior in 22'. My question is: what school in North Carolina university-wise would be best for a radiology (or med field in general) degree? One of my back up schools was UNCG, but I noticed they didn't have a radiology major, and I was actually quite surprised by this. I also plan on minoring in biochemistry, so if anyone has any advice for that I would appreciate it! Thank you so much for reading and helping me further my knowledge and passion for this career field! #medicine #medicalfield #college #university #radiology #radiography #healthcare #school

How does patient interaction and communication with other physicians differ between Interventional Radiologists and a traditional, diagnostic Radiologist?

Hi, my name is Raven and I will be a freshman in college next fall. I truly believe that I want to become an Interventional Radiologist, and I have shadowed one, but only for an hour on one day, so I only got a glimpse of what they do. I do enjoy interacting and having conversations with people, so this question will help me further decided whether I should become an Interventional Radiologist or stick with being a Diagnostic Radiologist. #healthcare #medicine #career #radiology
