Wayne Archibald

Wayne Archibald is a seasoned and dedicated cybersecurity professional specializing in orchestrating comprehensive security strategies that safeguard organizations from evolving threats.

In his current role, Wayne is an Associate Director leading security operations center (SOC) analysts in The Threat Management Center (TMC). The TMC is the first line in defending Verizon's networks and information systems from misuse and attacks. The TMC has an integral role in driving forward the security intelligence and capabilities in Cyber Defense. Wayne is an innovative and driven leader responsible for enhancing existing threat defense capabilities and maturing current processes within Verizon's unique security landscape.

Wayne holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Howard University and a Master of Science degree from The George Washington University. Wayne also holds professional certifications including the CompTIA Security+ and CompTIA Project+ certifications.

In his spare time, Wayne volunteers his time to develop and leads many diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives. Wayne also enjoys mentoring & tutoring, health and wellness activities, reading, traveling, watching TV and movies and listening to music. Wayne lives in Maryland with his family who inspires him daily.
