How can I become a CNA ( without any expensive funds) as a 17 year old who's school doesn't offer CNA classes, & with limited resources ? My local community college offers it but it cost almost 2000$, any opportunities!?

I want to become a CNA / take classes and have a license, to build up for my devotion for healthcare / nursing in the future. I truly believe this experience will give me the expertise and help me to where I want to be! I appreciate any help and advice.

Genetics Career help?

If I’m deeply interested in women’s health, babies, fertility, and genetics, what career would allow me to help families understand their genetic makeup and make informed decisions for their future? How can I prepare myself for this career?

What is the biggest challenge a non stem major might face applying to medical school post graduation from college?

I am thinking of taking only pre-requisite courses to apply to medical school and major in a non-stem area. I’m wondering if I will face any challenges to the medical school curriculum if I follow this path.

How is medical school different from undergrad and what are some pieces of advice that would help pre-med undergrad students get accepted to medical school?

I am interested in going to medical school after my 4 years in undergrad as a pre-med and I was wondering if there was anything that would help boost my application to med school or ultimately help me in medical school.

Is the process of going to college, med school, residency, etc., worth it, or is a safer career option a better decision financially?

I am a High School Senior, and have always wanted to be a doctor. I am struggling to decide between my state school (UMD), which is much cheaper, and UNC. At UMD, I would study engineering, giving up on my dream of becoming a doctor, while at UNC I would study biology on a pre-med track. #Spring25

What should I know before pursuing an education in medicine?

Did you learn anything about yourself that deterred you from getting a career in the field? (e.g., patient interaction, fear of blood, etc.) And did you change your field because of that, or did you push through? I'm a high school student looking to pursue a future in medicine, but I'm worried...

How hard is residency for psychiatry versus neurosurgery?

Obviously, I am aware that neurosurgery is significantly harder than psychiatric residency, but what I am asking are the main differences that really stand out between the two. I am an incoming college freshman, and I am wanted to go to medical school. I have an extreme passion for both fields...

How do you decide which medical schools outside of your state of residence you should apply to?

I know that applications can be expensive, so how do I determine what places outside of my state I have a good chance of getting accepted into?
