How can i improve my resume to get a normal every day job (such as a barista, cashier, team member, etc.) with a short-term job experience (3 months)?

I'm a sophomore in college this year and I have a lot of wiggle room to get a job, however many employers haven't responded to many of my applications, and it's probably due to my resume, how can I improve it? Note: this question was asked anonymously by a student

How can I explore and learn about different jobs I may be interested in?

I’m thinking about having a career in the health professions field, but I’m not sure what specific job I should choose since I may not enjoy working in a hospital or clinic setting. I’m interested in science and know there are a lot of careers, but don’t really know what they are yet and haven’t gotten a chance to explore them. How can I explore and learn about different jobs I may be interested in? I want a job that I can have fun doing while consistently learning new things. I love biology and research and also health science. #spring23

Ask a letter of reference from your old boss - 3 years no contact?

I'm going back to school after a few years of work. The school requests 2 letters of references but I haven't contacted my old employers for 3 years (I left during covid, and have been working remotely since for another company). Should I reach out to them on Linkedin and ask over there? Or should I ask them out for a coffee? I feel leaning towards option 1 as it might be more time-efficient for both? But would that request be viewed as more "cold" ? What do you think?

What to do as an aspiring engineer with no experience or knowledge????

Hello. I am a 17-year-old in Laredo, and I hope to major in a branch of engineering in the future. Despite not having experience, would it be best to seek out internships to gain experience? If so, what are my options in Laredo or online? I've tried looking but I'm struggling with it as most jobs are looking for college undergraduates/graduates. My dad is a mechanic, so would it be a good start to work with him? If so, how should I prepare? My dad is a busy man and is less interested in taking the time to show me the ropes. What online resources would be a good start to understanding what it's like to work as a mechanic/auto diagnostics so that I can be less of a hindrance and more of a valuable asset? Thank you!

In the future, I am hoping to become a psychiatrist, however I was wondering If it is worth studying around 12 years for. I am highly interested in the psychology and medical field, and know that it pays pretty well. But I've also heard that it is a pretty stressful job and the education is costly. So is it worth it?
