Do I cram for interviews or prepare in a different way?

Would the right time be soon after high school, after a short break, or a little time after to soak in life's experiences?

I'm currently a 9th grader and want to get in to the health field because I want to save lives and make them better but before becoming a doctor you got to go to collage for a lot of time so I want to know what do I need to know about going to collage any tips, advices anything to prepared me.

I am HS senior and planning on go into marine biology. I've done extensive studies by now in varies oceanography camps and on my own.
