Does the first university or college you attend matter when you are going to attend more than one?

Given the fact that I want to become an OB/GYN in the future this means that I will have some 12 years of schooling which I am pretty sure won't be in one place. I am currently aiming for UCLA, USC, and the like however people are telling me that the first university you attend doesn't matter the last one that you do does. Is this true or not? #jobs #university #higher-education #university-admissions

HOw does one work towards becoming an admissions counselor and or academic advisor?

I am working currently and belatedly on my bachelor's degree in psychology and education at SUNY Old westbury as an adult transfer student. But my REAL passion is and has been for a long time now, to work towards helping young people find the college of their choice and get into exciting degree programs and enjoy opportunities and resources that for, personal reasons, I was unable to obtain when I was a "traditional" student some years back. I see SO much potential in the undergraduate higher education collegiate experience, and I would LOVE to help younger students obtain and maximize and take full advantage of them, the way I SHOULD have when I was younger. Any advice would be appreciated greatly. Thanks so much. #college #higher-education

Take 2 or 3 years of world/foreign language?

I am a sophomore currently choosing courses for next year. I would like to drop Spanish completely as I have completed my school's graduation requirement of 2 years so that I can double up on science classes and take AP Biology and Physics Honors. However, I have been told by my guidance counselor that many colleges would like to see at least 3 years of language. If I take Spanish next year, I would be taking Spanish 5.
