When I first started studying sonography I only knew of one type of sonography and it was Ob/gyn sonographer. Also how does the pay vary between them all?

I heard that neurosonography brings in the most but then I learned that that isn't a formal job anymore because it became a subset to another role.

Should I begin volunteering in healthcare places or begin taking any prerequisites somewhere?
