How many years of college do I have to go through and what degree do I have to have to be a physical trainer?

As playing sports for nearly all of my life, playing a variety of sports, including, baseball, basketball, football, soccer, I have had a huge interest in playing and helping with sports. As my freshman year in baseball, I tore the Labrum Muscle in my right shoulder. IT had to require surgery, and it stopped me from playing baseball the rest of the year and half of the football team in Sophomore Year. I wanted to help out and give back to the people that have helped me with my injuries. #physical-therapist #physical-therapy #athletic-training #sports-medicine #fitness-training #sports-injuries

Professional in the Sports Medicine Physician

Hello! My name is Joanne, and I am a current high school student. I'm conducting an interview with any professional in the Sports Medicine Physician Field for a Foundations in Health Science Class Project about careers! I have created a total of 13 questions and I would appreciate it if you could answer them to partake in my project. What profession did you choose? How many years of college did you need to go through? What jobs did you work before you landed your present professional job? How can I decide if I should earn a Ph.D. in this field? Were you in a college program? Did you have to pivot and go back to school at a later date? Did you shadow another professional in the field? Did you join any school clubs related to your current profession? Was there a particular subject you struggled with during your school years? What skill sets did you learn or gain while pursuing your career? What was the worst injury that you’ve dealt with? What was the worst experience you had working? What do you find most rewarding about being a sports medicine physician?

What are some careers in Sports Medicine?

Although I am still interested in engineering, I have also become interested in Sports Medicine. However, I don't know what I would decide to do if I decided to pursue that dream. I would rather not be a physical therapist, but more of a trainer. If anyone could provide some examples of careers that would be helpful.
