I'm completely convinced in becoming a nurse! I'm a senior this year (graduating high school) and I want to know what schools you went to for nursing, and where you are working now? Do you enjoy your job? What should expect in my future career/education?

Most importantly how do I end up working in kaiser permanente? Haha, I know this may seem random but I really do admire their hospitals and friendly staff! But seriously how do I end up working in a place like Kaiser? #medicine #nursing #nurse #healthcare #health #registered-nurses #nursing-education

What is the best educational and cost efficient route for nursing?

I've been told to start out with my associates and get my RN, and then later explore an RN to BSN program. But I've also been told going to school for the two years to get my RN instead of getting my BSN right away would be a foolish mistake, and I would never find a job. What route should I take to give myself the best opportunities and sae the most money? #nursing #college-major #healthcare #health #pediatric-nursing #nursing-education #financial-planning #registered-nursing

The high school I go to has a health sciences program that lets students take their CNA but after high school I would like to immediately find a job in the medical field while taking my pre-requisites for nursing college. What would be the best job option

I am asking this question because I would love to immediately start putting what I learn to good use in my selected career path. However, the catch is that I would still have to be able to go to college at the same time. #nursing #nurse #health #registered-nurses

What sets us apart for success in college and our careers

We all know remember that infamous "What sets you apart from others?" question asked during interviews every time. What actually sets us apart that potential employers or admission officers want to hear? It is indeed an extremely important question when you come to think about it because they want to know that you are not just some other mediocre talker. I personally think they look for someone who makes impact and strives to make change, no matter how small, wherever they go. They want to know what they stand to gain by accepting you. Do you have to be great at math to become a nurse?

Hey! I know I want to be a nurse one day. Everyone I talk to (medical students, nursing professors, nurses, etc) say that you need to be good at math. I don't fail math, but it is definitely not my strong suit. I can do it, but it might take me awhile. So, my question is, since I am not great at math, should I look into a different career that's not nursing? Or will I be able to be a nurse, even though I'm not great at math. Thanks for you help! #nursing #medicine #health #math #nursing-education

Is it possible to have major in Music and still be accepted into Medical? If so, would it be possible to double major and pass the MCAT?

I love playing my clarinet in Band; however, Band takes up much of my time after school and on the weekends. I fear that in college and universities, band will take up even more of my time. I want to be a doctor, but I don't know if i could still major in music while doing so. #doctor #medicine #music #health #majors

Should I pick a major (Biology) relating to medical school to prepare for Med School, or should I just enter Med School with any degree I want?

I've been to seminars where people have told me to be what I wanted to be, because schools actually like diversity instead of "typical science majors". The only question that they've never answered was if it had given them an easier time understanding difficult concepts in the medical field. I was wondering if science degrees will help me more than taking non-science degrees when going to Medical School, or if I should do something else that I like. #medicine #health #school #pre-med -school

For a neonatologist, are there constant needs for research and education in the NICU?

I'm an incoming sophomore at the University of the Incarnate Word. I've developed the love for working in the NICU in high school when I was a volunteer at the local hospital and now I essentially want to make a career out of it. I was able to shadow some doctors during my time there and only few enlightened me on the research projects they were working on. Instead, they all mentioned seminars and conferences they attend throughout that year. So, is research a high demand when a neonatologist? #doctor #health #research #hospital-and-health-care #neonatal
