Is Starting College in the Spring a Good Idea?
So I moved with my family this past November to another state and might not be eligible for in-state tuition for the colleges here based on specific state statutes. My parents suggested starting college in the spring semester (2017) in order to get in-state classification but I'm not sure if this would work out. I already know that I would have to "catch up" with classes in the summer and would miss prerequisites that were offered in the fall. In addition, I know that it would be more difficult to establish friendships. Being that I have already been to 3 different high schools in my teen years, I was wondering if this would be a good option for me or if I should just start this fall and pay out-of-state tuition just for the first semester.
