Rebecca’s Career Stories

In layperson terms, what do you actually do at work?

As a Talent Acquisition Partner, I help to identify, attract, and recruit the top talent within technical engineering markets. This means I write up job descriptions, search for qualified candidates, consult hiring managers on interview best practices, as well as coordinate negotiations when a candidate reaches offer stages.

How did you pick your career? Did you know all along?

I'd been interested in Human Resources for a long time, however what ultimately prevented me from being able to enter this field sooner was my lack of a college degree, which most Human Resources roles require. It wasn't until I was 32 that I finally graduated from college and was able to enter into this field with a focus on Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning. I've known I've wanted to be in this field for a long time but it took me a great deal of time, patience, and exploring other fields before I was able to break into this industry.
