I want to do a lot in college! Is it possible to enroll myself intramural sports, major in biology/neurosciences, minor in Chinese literature/culture, be part of Greek life and also work/part-time job?
I'm super excited for college, but because of the major I want to pursue, I'm not sure if I'll have enough time to do everything! Is college life mainly studying? I've heard from multiple people that college is going to be the best time of your life, but they also say that high school does NOTHING to prepare you for college. I'm super stressed about what life would be like, and if I would be okay balancing everything? And one of my other questions would be: would you recommend me drop an activity...or? I'm not enrolled in college yet, but am applying soon, so I have no idea on what life would be like on campus! #studentlife #college #science #stress

how do you deal with college? seriously?
I'm in college right now, and I do well (I have a GPA above 3.7) However, handling these classes are hard. Not the classes itself, but taking 5 classes at the same time. I can manage, in my mind, four courses at a time, Yet I always seem to never really mind the last one. This is not a grade issue but a stress issue. Especially with doing projects 2-3 days before the deadline + passing, but feeling like you lost 70 hours of sleep. How do you stay on top of 5 classes without feeling stressed?
How should nurses handle their workplace stress? As a nurse, it will be important for us to have a clear explanation of how to handle the emotionally and physically demanding aspects of our job.
During my nurse training, I attended a seminar where the speaker encouraged nurses to develop and maintain habits that support our health. He recommended finding a physical activity or hobby to pursue as a way to reduce stress. I took his advice and found a gym that offers a variety of classes, so there is always something new in a nursing job to try. I also volunteer at children hospitals. I find that these two hobbies effectively relieve my stress. #july20, #jobs , #stress , #career, #nurse .

When should I have kids?
The thought of having a kid right now makes my skin crawl, so obviously I'm not ready for children yet. But sometimes I worry I'll never be ready for them. Or even think I'm ready for them. My parents had a surprise kid when I was 15, so I've basically helped raise her. Let me tell you, it has been a nightmare. She can be fun and nice but good night it is so much work. And I didn't even do half of the work. When I was in high school, 2 of my friends got pregnant. 3 years later, they both have 2 kids. I hate going to hang out at their houses because there's kid stuff everywhere and there's always a baby crying and pooping and it just puts me in a bad mood. I just wonder if my "want" to have kids is pushed on me by society. Cause of the expectation that all women will be mothers. I just want to know if anyone else has experienced this and now has kids and feels silly about it. Or if you experienced this and it never went away. #life #children #stress

What would you do if you loved your job but hated your work environment? Would you leave? How would you cope?
For example, I've worked as a copy editor and/or copywriter for both my high school yearbook and college newspaper, and while I wouldn't say that I've LOVED journalism, I do find it enjoyable at times. I would prefer to be doing creative writing, but I genuinely enjoy all types of writing, and I've cherished all the times that I was able to have touching experiences and interesting conversations with people that I wouldn't have talked to if it weren't for my job as a copywriter forcing me to conduct interviews. However, in both cases, I've hated my actual work environment. There are so many things that I resent, like how I know I'm perfectly capable of doing my job and I'm probably one of the best writers on the team, but I'm not treated like it and my work isn't valued. I never missed a deadline when I wrote for the yearbook, and I even picked up articles that other writers couldn't complete in time when we were in a time crunch, but no one ever thanked me for it. Honestly, I don't think that being thanked or feeling appreciated is too much to expect; these should be essential components of a healthy work environment. But when these components are in fact missing, what should you do? Should you quit your job? Sometimes it's not that easy. And if you choose not to quit and just stick it out, how do you cope? How do you stay sane? When I don't feel valued for the work that I do, it's extremely difficult for me to find motivation to keep up the quality of my work. I mean, if I don't feel that me or my work are valued, what's the point? How to deal with being overwhelmed and procrastination in University ?
Hi, I'm a university student, currently taking foundation courses. All my coursework are assignments and essays based. I find that when I think of an assignment that I have to do, I think that the assignment is too difficult and that it will take hours for me to complete it. When I finally get the courage to sit down and do it (usually assisted with a friend or because the deadline is literally in an hour or in minutes), I realize it's not that bad, sometimes I even enjoy it. I just want to learn how to get over that hurdle of being overwhelmed and to cease the thoughts that make the coursework bigger than it actually is.
