Hey, my name is Eva and I'm starting high school next year, ever since I was in Elementary school I've been thinking about who I want to be in the future, and I have sooooo many ideas! I can't decide! Some things include: singer and/or actor, artist, writer, DJ or any type of music artist in the EDM genre, English teacher/professor (for new speakers), tourist, photographer, and interior design. If anyone out here can help me, please let me know :)

Have you ever regretted becoming an author?
I have always wanted to be an author, but I am aware of how many writers give their all into their book and for whatever reason, are unable to get a publishing company to pick it up. Or else it flopped in sales and ended up not making enough money to make it worth printing, much less living comfortably off of.
Where do you get your inspiration when you are out of ideas?
When writer's block hits, what do you do to combat that? I find that oftentimes when I am writing, I'll run out of ideas for my story, abandon it, and start something new, only for the cycle to begin all over again.
Uncertanity in a career of an author
What is a career for someone who wants to be an author, but is afraid of the uncertainty of it? Careers have always been a difficult topic for me, also one that has changed over time. When I started thinking of a career as an author, I realized the talent but also love I had for something that holds no promises. The uncertainty of putting forth an idea you have put your heart and soul into and it never be published. I really want to write for a long time but have no idea if I should take the leap. To all the authors, what can I do to keep myself afloat while writing and/or how to extinguish these fears?
What is a good online community to post my own stories?
I am an aspiring artist and writer wanting to go into writing and animation. I have many different concepts for stories but I have no way to publish them in a way that would get me any sort of publicity. I would love it if someone could provide me with a free, online site that would allow for me to post my stories and at least try to get my name out there.
How much pressure should I put on choosing what I want to study at University? I am currently very drawn toward Psychology and English and I don't know which to focus more on.
I am a junior in high school. I would prefer not to go into education. I don't know whether to focus on English or Psychology and I'm worried that if I choose to focus on the wrong one, it will all go downhill.

What are ways to decide what to do for after high school? I have ideas, but I'm scared of making the wrong choice. I have aspirations for teaching english, talking about sports, and working in concrete.
What are some good career paths that would be interesting for someone who enjoys English?

Hey! I'm interested in being a Politician or at the very least a Journalist.
How would you start beginning the process of becoming a good speaker and a great Journalist. I was thinking about starting off by maybe starting off getting on a Podcast and speak whatever comes to mind that way. Any recommendations?
Thinking of dropping a degree and going for another one, I mean should I? After giving it a year.
I'm in my first year of a BA degree, my subjects are Psychology, English Lit & Education. Things are not working well for me, I am not liking it so far, disappointed with my college and myself. All I think of is working in the media field, taking interviews, hosting shows, working in publishing companies in abroad. A reason I choose English Lit & Psychology at the first place, plus options are very limited here, their isn't much choice for a degree and I can't move out yet. It's so freaking confusing! Should I drop this degree and go for a media degree instead? Is it too late? Is the media field safe? What if I loose everything and ruin my career? Family disappointment is another issue :-( Failure scares me so much.
What is the best area to study if I want to teach English and Literature in college?
I am interested in becoming a college Literature professor. I am almost complete with my Master in Literature and I would like to know what steps I should take next when pursuing my PHD in Literature. Would it be best to focus on a general English, general literature, or should I narrow it to a field within English or Literature. Such as Grammar for English and/or Historical pieces like Romance Literature of the Renaissance Period? If I focus on a period, will that limit my ability to teach any form of English or Literature.

I want to go into journalism but its not that encouraging from the things ive seen. Any advice on how to start from grade 11 to try and make that happen?
I love writing more than anything and I've always wanted to go into something that has to do with it. I have always liked spreading the word on recent events or social issues and I think journalism is the best way to do this. I would really like to pursue it in university but I've heard its really hard to find a job and I'm not exactly sure how to start from now. Unfortunately my high school doesn't have a paper or anything like that so I'm not sure where to go from there. I've heard its an extremely competitive industry so any ideas would be great or even any other career options ideas too would be greatly appreciated. I know there are things you can do with a journalism degree but I still have yet to learn about them. Any advice or info would help and thanks in advance. #journalism #english #writing #university #job
