Will’s Career Stories
In layperson terms, what do you actually do at work?
I make sure my client's financial products are valued as they're claimed to be. In order to do that more efficiently and accurately, I need to know some finance, mathematics, and computer science knowledge.
What is the biggest challenge you had to overcome to get to where you are now professionally? How did you overcome it?
Since English is not my mother language, speaking/writing/listening skills are my biggest challenge when I started my career. Still in process of overcoming it. Practicing/Learning (mimicking) from others/Reading more books/Joining Toastmasters (public speaking club) are all very helpful.
What is the most useful piece of career advice you got as a student, and who gave it to you?
"Work hard, work smart, work together!" by Barbara Stevens, former head coach of the Bentley University women's basketball team #HOF2020
