create an online business for a specific community?
The LGBT community is way behind in my opinion. We cant relate to the rest of the world, because our art/ideas are ignored more. i want to create a website where lgbt art movies books clothing tv pilots etc can be sold and shared amongst one another. An lgbt version of etsy i guess you could say. The goal is to get the site seen on tv, as well as local lgbt celebrities promote it. Which would also push the community into a more positive light. Any ideas on this would be great. Thanks in advance! #business #marketing #economics #social-media #online-advertising

How will the future of North American economy affect my own future?
I have high ambitions and goals to achieve in my life, and though I do wish to excel in all possible aspects of my life, I worry about the instability of the United States' economic system. Considering history's tendency to repeat itself due to human ignorance and general myopia, the economic system would likely collapse in my lifetime, triggering another economic depression in the United States. What career options are there for economics majors?
I am studying economics at Brown; I really like how economic thinking can solve problems, but I am not a huge fan of math (I do not plan to take any beyond statistics and Calc II which are required). I am very interested in public policy, but more from an applied microeconomics view (rather than macro policy). I'm not super interested in finance/consulting/business, but I haven't ruled it out. I think teaching and research would be super cool, but I know getting an economics Phd is a lot of math. What career options would y'all suggest? #economics #policy #professor #career #phd #government #research

Better study economics or finance? Which one has more job options?
I have to choose between economics and finance, but it comes really hard to me. According to me finance is more practical and simple, and economics is harder, more theorical. What matters is the job.
