What are some actionable goals a junior PM/PO might have?

I recently got extended for a junior PM/PO based role. My manager asked my what types of goals I have in mind that they can help me achieve during my time in this position. The thing is I have reasons why I want to be a junior PM/PO but I don't really have specific goals in mind. I just want to learn and gain experience, and I don't want it to come off as I'm not serious about my position. I'm also a junior so it's not like I'm in charge of an entire product/managing a team. I've also still yet to receive my list of specific responsibilities for the role so until I get that I guess the only things I want to get better at are: - Getting better at conducting market research in terms of our competitors - Foster strong relationships with development/ design team to ensure everyone is aligned with what we are working on Does anyone have suggestions?

What is your favorite aspect about your job? How are you doing? Why did you choose this career path? When can I start?

I am a rising senior at the moment with a proclivity towards business administration and entrepreneurship and writing. Currently, I am co-authoring a book and am working to establish a digital marketing agency with a couple friends. However, on the way I've encountered multiple internal and external challenges to bringing these projects to fruition, so I'm always looking to include more people in my life whom I can learn from and who I can hopefully return the favor for.

I would greatly appreciate any guidance, tips, or general information on how to gain more traction in my job search and increase my chances of securing a position that aligns with my Health Care Compliance and Regulations degree. Thank you for your assistance. Do you have any advice, questions, or tips on how to overcome the challenges I am facing in my job search?

Background Information: I hold a bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Compliance and Regulations, and I am actively seeking a job that aligns with my educational background. Despite my strong qualifications and experience in the front and back office as a certified medical assistant, I am facing challenges in obtaining interviews due to the extensive experience requirements listed in most job listings. In addition to my medical assistant background, I have volunteered for over 700 hours in a prominent healthcare organization in the state, gaining valuable exposure to the healthcare industry. Moreover, I possess a comprehensive understanding of Microsoft suites, which has proven beneficial in various administrative and operational tasks. Furthermore, I have approximately six months of internship experience in my field of expertise. During my internship, I worked on several significant projects, including risk assessment and mitigation planning, policy and procedure development and management, and incident reporting and investigations. Despite my qualifications and experiences, I am encountering difficulty securing a role that aligns with my career goals and degree. I have participated in a few interviews, and while no negative feedback was provided, it became evident that my lack of experience compared to other applicants was a significant barrier. Volunteering is an option I am open to; however, the majority of opportunities available require commitments during standard business hours, which conflict with my current schedule.

What paths (in tech) are available in EMS?

A career area I want to explore is EMS: Emergency Medical Services. I know that EMTs, paramedics, and firefighters populate most of the field. I want to broaden my perspective of what's out there. Personally, I'm interested in roles that use technology and planning, such as EMS Management. What are some career professions available for those that want to enter EMS management, or other related areas? Would like to hear from professionals in Emergency Medical Serivces, or related backgrounds (healthcare, public health, clinicians, etc).
