Which A-levels should I choose for medicine?

My GCSEs are almost done with and I have to choose my A-levels soon. I've already decided on taking biology and chemistry for my first two options, and maybe psychology as a third option because I think it's related to medicine and can help me. My fourth option is giving me quite a bit of a headache as I can't choose between physics, English and history. I'm quite good at English and perform very well, and while History is tough it is enjoyable. However, I've researched online and most websites say that universities prefer physics or maths alongside biology and chemistry, and this is a dilemma because I don't really enjoy doing physics. Certain universities also prefer a humanities subject or an essay subject to show how well rounded the applicant is, and I really don't know which subject universities would like more. Any thoughts on the subject I should pick? Or any advice about university in general? #GCSEs #Alevels #medicine #undergraduate #physics #english #history #science #surgeon #premed

Im burnt out and out of ideas

it started like around 3 weeks after I did some drawing spree, when I draw something I never finish it I got easily burnt out and when I tried going back to that art I began losing interest in it , maybe its because I draw too much for straight 2 weeks? Should I rest for at least a month or week? I dont know what to do, I feel like I cant draw anymore and it can hinder my progress towards my goals, and also one thing I tried looking in pinterest for some reference but still no go. Im kinda frustrated about it #art #artist #english #help #drawing #career

I want some advice?

I am currently at the university in the career of Language Pedagogy.
I like languages, but I'm not good at English, every semester I find it harder with my studies. I make an effort in studying pedagogy and learning English, but my academic performance in English subjects has low marks because it makes it difficult for me to understand the classes and perform the tasks. I do my best. But what can I do. I'm not making progress.
Every semester I find it difficult to understand the subjects.

Is being a short story writer a career path?

Being a first generation college student means that I'm going in blind in this. None of my family members ever finished school so if I go and ask them for help/advice they can't give any. School counselors are not much help so I'm turning to the internet. I've never really excelled in anything, I'm horrible at math, can barely keep up in science classes, my critical thinking skill don't seem to improve (even though I've passed the classes). The only thing I seem to be good at is creative writing, but do I need to major in English for that? I mean I'm taking these college level English courses and I suffer with these essays. I'm no good at writing essays about deconstructing a poem/book and be super analytical about it. I like having creative freedom and not having to worry about MLA format. #general #college #english

What majors should I take up in college?

I'm interested in philosophy, psychology and english literature, and I can confidently say I can do well in these fields since its all I've ever been doing since I started to understand the importance and jobs. Although there aren't many good colleges or unis I can find that offer all three subjects as majors, and pose a good opportunity, especially in India. I need your help. #psychology #philosophy #english #literature #english literature #university #college #study #majors #overseasstudiesconsidered

What does teacher hiring look like for December graduates?

I am studying an undergraduate degree in Education, specializing in Middle School English, Language Arts & Reading with an ESL teacher certification. I will finish my degree on the Fall semester and would love to get a teaching job immediately after graduation. What are good career options if I am interested in both writing and "using my creative mind"?

I am a sophomore in high school looking for career options that not only let me use my creative mind but also don't limit me from doing more than one thing in life. I don't know exactly what I want to do, however I do know I want it to make people smile. I'm interested in writing, traveling, design, etc while some of my favorite classes include both English and Spanish. I'm a bit all over the place. Do you have any advice on what I should do? #high-school #business #career #creative #writing #traveling #career-counseling #media #english

FOB-How do i get better at communicating and presenting in business setting?

Hi I'm new in America and wonder how I can get better at leading discussions and presenting in meetings. I'm somewhat good in English but not as proficient as natives in storytelling. I'm afraid I already feel English has been a bottleneck in my internships. I don't want to be perceived as someone who's not able to elaborate or eloquently express what I think. Please advise what kind of sources I should tap into so I can get better in the business setting. My career aspiration is to get to the executive level, with business development and partnerships #english #professionals .

What kind of work do environmental lawyers do?

What professions combine an interest in English and Environmental Studies?

I'm slightly more passionate about English than Environmental Studies because I'm not into STEM-heavy subjects and would prefer to not take STEM classes, so on the ES side I'd prefer something related to Environmental Studies instead of Environmental Science. I enjoy the sustainability part of ES or maybe even policy; something that I could see making an impact on the world without being extremely scientific or involving a lot of labs or fieldwork. With English, I enjoy editing most, and would like to be an editor (with no preference for media type). I was thinking maybe something with environmental law, but I don't think I want to get through law school. If I could only choose one subject, I would choose English over ES. Are there any professions that combine my specific interests in these two subjects, besides something like blogging/freelance? #english #english-grammar #environmentalstudies #environmentalscience #sustainability #editing #editor

Should English be my minor or 2nd major?

I have committed to my college as a psychology major. I am looking at a career in either (or both, if possible) research psychology or editing and publishing. Do you think I can land a job in editing when English is only my minor? Is it worth the extra effort to double major? How do minors show up on my degree anyway? #major #english #college-major #englishliterature

What should I do in order to simplify my preference if I have several majors in mind that are very different?

As I explored more majors and explored all my interests and how I could pursue them, I settled on a couple which I was told is expected. The thing is my options are extremely varied and do not relate to each other at all which is now causing a problem as i'm choosing my classes for my future years. What I have in mind is either Cybersecurity or Digital Forensics, Forensics, Medicine and healthcare, or journalism. I extremely enjoy and excel in all of these majors' equivalent classes such as computer science, English, and Biology and also enjoy researching and learning about such ideas and participating in clubs or activities relating to them. Is there any major I should be considering which would include all and what are the pros and cons of each? Thanks!! #major #medicine #cybersecurity #journalism #english #biology #computer_science #undecided #university
