I would really like to have a job as soon as possible so I can make money and save for college and my future, but a lot of jobs here in Fayetteville, Arkansas require you to be 16 years old for a freaking cashier or even a janitor/cleaner! I have been struggling to discover an internship or a facility that will hire me as most of the vet tech assistant jobs often require prior experience. How am I supposed to get the 'prior experience' necessary to be accepted in these jobs if I've never had one? I am very fortunate to have pretty basic medical handling skills and abilities, such as proper restraint, muzzling, intramuscular injection, medicating orally, taking and interpreting vital science, and taking and reading fecal samples. I have also assisted in the birth of livestock, monitored pregnancy in a mare, and have worked as an animal shelter technician for more than a year.
