I want to study biology major

Is there anyway I can work with animals and travel at the same time? both are very important to me and my future I really want to travel and see new parts of the world but I also want to work with animals and I want to be able to be on the go.

I think I want to be a biopharmaceutical research scientist with an interdisciplinary nanotechnology background. Is this choice specific or do I have to go more in-depth? Is this even a good career choice? Please let me know.
