Hi there! I'm a junior in high school and looking to go into a career in music therapy. Realistically, with my situation, I'm going to go to an in-state college, but I most definitely will not be attending the two that offer music therapy degrees.

Are there any things that some people may regret after becoming a psychiatrist?

I am specifically very interested in pediatrics and senior care. I dont have any job experience but need to start somewhere.

I have a few mental illnesses and there's more I'm not diagnosed with. Can I become a psychiatrist or a psychologist, it's something I'm really interested in.

I'm sure working as a Psychiatrist is challenging just like any other job, but I'm curious to say if it is difficult is it worth the time and money? I want to get into something similar to this and look at other options but I want advice to see if this is a good choice.

Being in the mental health field seems like a very fulfilling yet intimidating career to follow through with, I've always been very passionate about helping others and would like to know others' viewpoints or reasons.
