This is coming from a college freshman trying to learn how to get used to managing school/life/work balance.

I am going to be studying in a mental health masters counseling program in the fall and I am worried about the transition.

I know internships are useful in career progression, but I am not sure if they are worth if they are unpaid.

I have applied to multiple summer internships with little to no response to my applications. I have a strong resume and have spoken to a few people in the industry who agree. What am I doing wrong? How can I improve my odds of having my application looked at?
