To be a Dietician, what certificates or degrees do you need?

I am interested the the field of pharmacy and lifestyle management/ nutrition. I want to combine pharmacy with nutrition in my future career. Is there an area of pharmacy where you help people decrease or stop taking prescriptions by making lifestyle changes?

I am a HUGE advocate for individual healthy lifestyle management rather than fixing problems with a #pill. My #dream is to help people become their own health advocates. I want to teach people lifestyle modifications including #nutrition, #physical activity, and managing medications. I believe certain #prescriptions are over-prescribed and some maintenance medications can be avoided with lifestyle changes. I know it sounds backwards to be a pharmacist reducing medications, but that is my passion especially working in a pharmacy for almost 3 years not and seeing the effects in our society today. #lifestyle #management #health #healthadvocate #publichealth #pharmacy #pharmacist #society #rx #medication #health care #medications #medicine

Best pre-college volunteer options for aspiring pharmacists?

What can I do to volunteer in high school if possible and what school is best for this career option? I want my application to be as strong as possible for med school, and that includes any experience I can get before applying for colleges, but I don't know where I'd start, how I can do it and the proper steps to get there. As for schools, my dream school is UCLA, however, I'm not entirely sure how good that school is for the degrees I'd need (however I hear UCLA is good across the board with education). That and if I don't get accepted I know it's good to always have back up options so I just wanted some input! Thank you so so so much for taking the time to read and respond! #medicine #pharmaceuticals #pharmacy #pharmacist #pharmacists

What high school / college courses are best for people wanting to go into Pharmaceuticals?

Hello! I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on which high school and or college courses could be best for me to take if I wanted to go into a career in pharmaceuticals, as next year I begin high school and want to make my chances as high as possible for getting into a good school and (hopefully) securing a degree in the future, as this career has been something I'm very passionate about. I participate in my schools Science Olympiad team and work very hard in the medical based competitions. Next year I already plan on doing honors biology and have gotten accepted into the class, but I wanted input on other classes that would be key to take. Also a side question about that: if I take 2 years of early college in high school and graduate with an associates degree: could that potentially take off two years of my college experiences? It's something I plan on doing and I know going to school for this career overall is 8 years so I was just curious. #medicine #pharmaceuticals #pharmacy #pharmacist #pharmacists

How can I pursue a career in pharm while also having fun in college?

I want to go into the medical field of pharmacy --whether that's PharmD or pharmacology, I don't know yet, I know that I'm in that vicinity-- and get a good job where I can make an even better salary. But I also want to live the normal college life and not live four more years of stress-induced misery, where it'll be like high school all over again. I understand that college is supposed to be difficult, but I also know it's supposed to be the best time of my life. I'm looking into specialized school because I want to be focused and hopefully not have to take seven courses in Egyptian History (or something like that) just for my core credits, but I'm also looking into schools with broader spectrums where I may not get the most advanced training on my topic, but I won't be isolated to my studies. A lot to take in, I know, but what is the best plan of action? #pharmacy #college

I've been thinking about joining the military for tuition assistance, since my scholarship will expire after next year but my degree is 6yrs.
