What are the best ways to find someone to interview?

Hello! I’m a high school junior looking for someone to interview for my engineering class. The only requirements are that they are from an engineering or tech heavy background although personally i’m very interested in science or programming related fields so that would be preferable. I would also prefer that they live in/are from/went to School in my state-north carolina, but that’s not a requirement. I tried linked in and googling to find professionals near me but the majority of what came up was add listings. Does anyone have advice on how I can find someone in that field who would be interested in an interview?

Should I focus on Embedded Systems or Data science/analytics?

I'm studying computer engineering in my 2nd year, and in the summer I'll be applying for a co-op. I've done my research and it appears that embedded systems has a steeper learning curve and barrier to entry than let's say data analytics. Both are not easy, but getting an internship as a data analyst looks more approachable. Both are also interesting to me, although embedded looks more hands on and engaging. Thoughts?

How can I manage my time better so I can reach my goal of having a 4.0 this year while having extracurriculars and SAT preparations?

For context, I am taking 3 APs and an astronomy community college class. I am struggling the most with astronomy, physics, and math. I am also the Junior Officer for an aerospace organization at my school called Aerotech and I am a writer and editor for a club called ARRAS (Arts and Magazine Club). In addition to this, I am currently working on a research project and thinking of making a research club for my school and dabbling in music production (hopefully I can start producing music once I can effectively manage my time). In short, I have too much on my plate.

Does hardware engineering need to be good at programming ?

I am a person who loves to learn and is very passionate about learning and repairing or manufacturing, that's why I study hardware engineering, but what I wonder is does a hardware engineer need to know programming? Because I see that I don't have much talent in programming and there are many companies that recruit employees with programming talent, so I always wonder and want to know if I can become a hardware engineer without doing anything about programming?

What should I do after graduating high school?

I have no idea if I should go to college after I graduate high school. I have some college credits through dual enrollment, with one of them being an intro to engineering credit. I enjoy engineering and programming but I also love music and art. The biggest part of my decision right now is money because I don't exactly come from a rich family... I feel like I'm taking a gamble if I make a choice.

What major for interests in sustainable/alternative/nuclear power engineering/generation, sustainable urban planning, architecture, research, material science, civil infrastructure...?

Hello! I am a high school senior trying to apply to colleges and figure out my major, but I feel very indecisive. I'd like to have opportunities to research and develop new technologies and alternative energies!! Maybe even in a nuclear plant!? And also solutions to dealing with nuclear waste and stuff like that. I want to design efficient and environmentally friendly solutions to energy problems. As well as implementing electrical power systems in the world as well. And of course, chemistry is super interesting I've also been creative my whole life, and growing up in a plain city, I really love looking at and, on rare occasions, visiting places with interesting, beautiful, and tall buildings, as well as appreciating inviting designs that promote sustainability and walkability and I would love to contribute to a more beautiful world in this way as well. So maybe architecture/architectural engineering would be good for me? I also am really excited about civil engineering labs (I hear you get to build stuff? Cool!!) I also have an interest in getting into the nitty-gritty of situations and hashing out the details as well as the big picture. On an unrelated note, I've also had an interest in videogame design + programming, graphic design, and animation my whole life. Are there any good colleges with clubs like this where I can grow my skills in these areas, but still focus on engineering and do well? Is there any other factors I should consider when picking a major? Or anything else I could look into to get to know myself a bit more and see what I really prefer? Any options to somehow do everything I just listed?? Also I am learning about hydraulic engineering and I really like the sound of it a LOT but AHHHH there's so much and ofc transportation but mostly you already know the rest of the stuff I wrote.. I know most of this points to maybe like Civil Engineering with a minor in Electrical Engineering and a concentration in Structural engineering,, but I really am going to be sad forever that I won't be a physicist or a energy engineer or a researcher or a hydraulic engineer or a nuclear engineer... Maybe I could do architecture in the future but yeah 😭😭 Also I really wanted to do physics for a while could I start my education all over again when I'm older and have a career and do research

Should you do a 3D printing business or a Car Rental business?

Due to the high demand of 3D printing, I have seen multiple 3D printing companies gain a lot of attraction and profit from it. But since it is becoming more and more popular, more 3D printing companies are coming out and I feel like if you don’t get into it right now, a lot of entrepreneurs and bots will start acting like a “get rich quick scheme.” Much like how they are telling people now to get into real estate as a fast and easy way to get rich. But also car rental businesses are starting to pick up as well. Like “Turo” for example. At first a lot of people were getting profit since Turo wasn’t well know, and when it did become well known, they’d be the first on the list. But now it seems like every YouTuber is doing it now and talking about how easy it is. When there is maintenance and constant problems with car rentals. Same is with a 3D printing business, but you don’t have to pay for insurance or employees if you do it right. Seems a car rental business costs more to start up instead of a 3D printing business startup. So if someone asked you if they should start a 3D printing business or a car rental business, what would you choose? What are the pros and cons of both businesses?

Do Wojak meme videos (Zero Budget Stories etc.) reflect the current state of the job market or reality?

Is it really that impossible to get an entry job in anything other than McDonalds and Retail? What will happen when AI comes and gets powerful enough in 2025? Will 99% of the population be rallying every day for a better welfare system and be forced to be homeless or live in care homes because only so many people can be Engineers, Doctors, Welders, Plumbers, etc. and are unqualified for most positions due to a lack of work experience. In every Wojak video, the worker is always depicted as a McDonalds worker and nothing else. Does this mean that your fated to work in McDonalds or Retail if you want to work? I am currently working on becoming a electrician through a community college and realize that certs don't translate to work experience.
