I’ve been struggling to find my first job, and I'm curious to hear about how other people have gotten a job when they had no experience.

I am a high school junior in NYC. I am dedicated, a hard worker, and a good problem solver. I was hoping to intern at an attorneys office to get experience before law school but I'm having trouble finding opportunities.

What was the moment you knew, or had thought to yourself, “yup, I was made to do this job.” What is the thing that keeps you getting up every morning and keeps you going? The pay? The patients? Coworkers? Coffee?

I found interest in beauty school such as esthetician school for skin care and beauty. I want to work more in the lines of that. I still will be attending a 4 year college but can’t quite know what major to go for to help with esthetician schooling? Which ones do you suggest enrolling into?

Would it be possible for me to be a detective of some kind and still have an active family life?

I'm interested in studying for a career in this field but I'm not sure exactly where to start to find the type of work I'm looking for.

Attending college costs a lot of money that could be invested else where, why is it a good discison to go to college instead of traveling or immeadly going into the work force?

For instance, being able to take vacations, practice my hobbies, hang out with friends and family are all what I desire but I fear I won't be able to do any of that if I take the standard academic route and do a Masters program or go to graduate school for even longer.
