Hi everyone, this is my first post on CareerVillage.org. First, some background about me. I’m currently a freshman in high school (about to finish the year) and I’m working hard to prepare for a future career as a software engineer. I’ve been self-studying computer science outside of school,...

I am looking to become an engineer, but I'm still only in high school,l and I don't know what type of path I should take, so if it's a college degree or an internship I still don't know much.

My school does not offer civil engineering and transferring will be a pain, but I am able to take engineering of science and take a general FE exam with that degree. I tried looking in NCEES website but could not find an answer.

I just finished my senior year of high school and will be starting college this fall as a biological engineering major. I’m passionate about biotechnology and all its subfields, especially healthcare applications. I want to explore career paths where I can make a meaningful impact and...

I do well in all of my classes and I feel a little lost

1. What passive income opportunities can I pursue using just my phone to start building generational wealth? 2. How can I leverage my college major in Information Technology with a focus on Cybersecurity to land my first job in the field? 3. Why is it so challenging to find a mentor in the...

I am a freshman student pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Data Science. I'm currently working on developing my programming skills via various MOOCs and also doing personal projects so I can start applying to good internships related to my field of data science and machine learning in a...

What skills are most valuable for volunteers in Cyber Security roles?

I've been asked this a lot recently in scholarship applications, and I never know how to respond in a way that sounds professional. Starting with "my name is..." feels redundant when your application already has it listed. I just have no idea how to start.

I am a senior in college and I would like to create a portfolio of projects that can help me get the job of my dreams, but I don't know where to start.

I want to make my own system to defeat them. Anyone willing to help ?

I am planning on going to a foreign university, but am currently still deciding. I wanted to know a bit more if this is feasible.

I'm almost 15, what first job should I get?

I am 24 and plan on pursing a career in Video game programming. I want to move out west. I also am going to go to Full Sail.

I'm very passionate about music and plan to get a degree in electrical engineering. In what ways do people combine these two for their career? #Spring25

I know that engineering is a constantly changing field and I want to know if the field is more labor oriented or more programming? Thanks.

Electrical Engineering has always been my dream career, it pays well, it's difficult, I get to help people, and I get to work and innovate with electricity, which is a commodity that our developing world needs. However, gaining real applicable experience isn't always easy. I wish to know how...

High school senior

I have gone to community college and taken the Google cybersecurity certificate. I am in the process of completing the CompTIA Sec+ as well. I am struggling to find any internships that will consider my little knowledge and skills.

I am still learning what my best skills are, but I am curious about how we can learn to best use those abilities to serve others as best as we can.

I'm a high school senior who will be attending University in fall. Analyzing data to predict the future has always been a fascinating concept for me, but so has Astronomy. I want to combine my interest of the two, but I'm not sure how I should go about it.

I am an incoming freshman who's worried about being able to pay pass my first year of college and I was wonder when I should start looking for more scholarships.

Also, what skills have been the most transferable across the industries?

I work a full time & part time job will going to school. I have to take some online classes to make it work with my work schedule, but these classes are difficult to study for with no in person class and my professor recommends studying 4-5 chapters to study for finals with no study guide.
