Is there any classes or opportunities I can take to get some first hand experience?

I want to be an author, but would it be more financially safe to pursue a job in STEM and instead keep writing as a hobby?

In the future I would love to start my own business or become a programmer. If possible I want to do both. I want to know as much information as I can to achieve this goal.

I’ve always been interested in forensic science, but there seems to be so many paths you can go down with this major. What will be my best option? #fall22
