How do I become a successful veterinarian with zero experience in the field?

I am about to go to university for animal science, and I was wondering if I need to already have an internship, or if I'll be fine starting once I'm at college.

Being a high schooler, especially one with only 2 more years before graduation is difficult and stressful for many.
