I am currently a 2nd year chemical engineering student at Michigan Technological University. I love to swim and am on the college club swim team.

I would like to attend a four-year university in pursuit of musical engineering, song-writing, and vocal performance in hopes of becoming a Musical Soloist/Artist.

Is there anything in which you recommend to someone with many years of schooling ahead of them? I am someone who plans to go into anesthesiology. I know I will have many years of schooling to go through, and I want to make sure that I don't experience burnout.

I am interested in going to Medical school to earn a degree in pediatrics and hope to go to UW-Madison for my undergrad.

Is it a good idea to record the lecture and then take notes later or is it better to take notes during the lecture?

I'm looking at colleges, and they all seem the same, but I want to know which program stands out more. Do you suggest taking the direct admit program that certain colleges offer, or taking the competitive path?

I've participated in summer research programs, but I'd like to know more about what to expect from research in college as an undergraduate. Thanks!

How do you balance an academic degree with an arts degree? Should it be a 50-50 balance, or should I be focusing more on one? I enjoy the arts more, but also want to make a stable living after college and don't want to invest too much in something that won't pay off.

Context: Math is my absolute worst subject. It stopped me from going to a 4-year out of high school (fear of failure). I have to take one math class despite my already 2 transferred classes from my other tech, and I'm only doing a 2-year program.
